Richmond
Concerned Black Men of Richmond
The Richmond chapter of Concerned Black Men (CBM-R) was formed in December 1986 by a group of men who saw a need to eliminate negative stereotypes and influences, such as youth violence, black on black crime, high murder rates, drugs and youth imprisonment in the lives of youth in the Richmond Community. Thus the goal of CBM-R is to serve as a mechanism for providing positive models and mentors to the youth in the Richmond Metropolitan Community. It is through this goal that CBM-R meets its mission of giving back to the community, particularly the communities’ (our) youth.

Shining Stars Youth Service
Shinning Stars Youth Services offers programs that specialize in the development of at-risk youths in Richmond Virginia, while transforming their lives through persistent and compassionate mentoring. Our youth development services define at-risk youths as adolescents or teens experiencing acute behavioral problems, causing them to be a safety liability to both themselves and others. At-risk youths often have been incarcerated in a juvenile facility and are often labeled as a menace to our society.
Youth Program-Black Dolphin Divers of Richmond, VA
The Black Dolphin Dive Club’s Youth Program goals are the same as the National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS) and that is to promote a sense of pride and camaraderie among our youth by challenging them through involvement in aquatic activities and the marine environment. BDD Youth Program focuses on producing successful, confident young leaders who will have a strong impact on their communities and chosen professions.
