100 Black Men of Memphis
The mission of the Memphis chapter is to serve and uplift our community through education, economic development, mentoring, and health and wellness programs. Our members continue to serve as a strong force for overcoming the cultural and financial obstacles that have limited the achievements of African American youth, with a particular emphasis on young African-Americans males.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Memphis, Inc
Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with proven results.
City Kitchen
City Kitchen is a cooking and gardening program for urban youth. Our mission to teach urban students how to grow, harvest and prepare nutritional foodstuffs in an effort to promote healthier food choices as well as skills needed to sustain themselves and their environment.
Faith in Communities-Elevate Urban Youth Program
Ele:Vate (Economic Literacy Education: Vital Assets for Transformation and Empowerment) is a multi-partner initiative to train urban youth workers to educate and inspire young people about financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Girls Inc. of Memphis
The goal of our program is to allow each girl to develop her ability to become a responsible confident adult. Through programming that focuses on economic stability, healthy personal choices and educational opportunities, each girl is able to realize her own potential. Our programs are age appropriate and progressive and apply to six core competency areas. These services are offered at our local centers after-school and during the summer.
Memphis Black Arts Alliance
Our programs are designed to offer easy and affordable access to high quality cultural instruction and arts programming which: instills pride, discipline, reflection, positive action on social issues; improves cognitive and social skills; develops talent and offers arts-related job training; encourages and promotes entrepreneurship in the arts; and, promotes harmony and appreciation of diversity within and outside the black community.
Memphis Athletic MinistriesMemphis Athletic Ministries, better known as “MAM,” runs year-round youth sport programs that emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. The purpose of MAM is to use organized athletics to mentor youth in order to reduce destructive behavior, improve health, increase academic performance and grow spiritually. MAM currently has six locations throughout urban Memphis which offer a variety of programs to attract youth. While MAM is best-known for its huge recreational basketball leagues, they also utilize golf, flag football and soccer programs to attract youth.Memphis Grizzlies Charitable Foundation, Inc.
As a leading faith-based nonprofit organization in the City of Memphis, MLF is committed to the empowerment of grassroots faith-based and community organizations. This award reflects the administration’s recognition that faith-based and community organizations are uniquely situated to partner with the government in serving under-resourced and low-income individuals and families, particularly those with the greatest needs. It is Memphis Leadership Foundation’s goal to empower non-profit organizations to increase their effectiveness, enhance their ability to provide holistic services in under-served communities, expand their organizational capacity, diversify their funding sources, and create collaborations to better serve those in need.

Welcome to our website. The Links, Incorporated founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
Urban Youth Initiative
The Urban Youth Initiative (UYI) seeks to equip, empower, and support dedicated youth ministers and the local church/Christian community to effectively reach unchurched urban young people with the hope and love of Jesus Christ, and nurture their development into purposeful adulthood.
Y-Mot Outreach Ministries
Y-MOT is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves urban youth and families in under-resourced communities. Y-MOT exists to empower urban youth to develop mentally, spiritually and physically through the use of holistic programming.
YMCA of Memphis & Mid-South
Our mission: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Here at the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South, we are directly involved in our community to make a positive impact. We serve approximately 160,000 Mid-Southerners each year through 8 full-service branches that offer aquatic, wellness, teen leadership, at-risk youth and senior programs.
